The number of daily Covid cases in Kerala exceeds 30,000-mark

Kerela has reported 31.445 new cases and 215 deaths in the 24 hours that ended at 8 am on Wednesday. The number of active cases in the state has reached 1.7 lakh.

The active cases in India have dropped down to 3.22 lakh and Kerela accounts for almost half of the active cases at 1.59 lakh active cases.

At the same time, the schools are set to reopen in many states and the cases in the country are at a constant rise as India recorded 37,593 new Covid-19 cases on Wednesday.

Union Health Minister, Mansukh Mandaviya said the Centre has requested all the states to get all school teachers vaccinated by September 5 if possible and added that the country has crossed the 60 crore vaccination mark.

Mansukh Mandaviya tweeted, “Besides the scheme of providing vaccines to every state this month, over 2 crore addl doses of vaccine are being made available. We’ve requested all states to try to get all school teachers vaccinated on priority, by 5th Sept – Teachers’ Day.”

The total number of cases in the country has reached 3,25,12,366 and the deaths have reached 4,35,758 and the number of recovered people has reached 3,17,54,281. And according to the health ministry, the vaccination mark has reached 59,55,04,593 till now.
