Rachit Thakor, a resident of Harekrushna Complex in Bopal, Ahmedabad stabbed his former friend Harshad Thakor in the chest with a knife.
Harshad Thakor, 25, a resident of JB Park Society and Rachit Thakor were friends earlier. However, a petty quarrel that ensued over a cricket match spoiled their relations two years ago.
As per the police complaint, Rachit confronted Harshad, a contractual worker in a government-run scheme in Mahemdavad when he was parking his car near his house and started abusing him over the issue of the two-year-old cricket dispute. Rachit who is separated from his wife also abused Harshad for talking to her. When Harshad protested, Rachit took out a knife and stabbed Harshad in the chest and stomach several times over.
Harshad was admitted to the ICU ward of a private hospital and could not be saved. Bopal police have booked Rachit Thakor who is on the run for an attempt to murder.
