Sisodia said that the schools in the constituency of Gujarat Education Minister Jitu Vaghani are poorly maintained and have no proper seating arrangements for the children. He further added that the walls of the schools and classes were broken on many places and some repairs had been done just for his arrival.
After landing in Ahmedabad this morning, Sisodia went straight to Bhavnagar in order to inspect the condition of Gujarat’s famous model schools. Manish Sisodia said that the education system of Gujarat is weak from the ground level and Gujarat Education Minister Jitu Vaghani is full of arrogance. “I am looking forward to seeing the schools in Gujarat, where BJP has been in power for the last 27 years,” he told reporters. “I want to see what changes BJP has made in government schools, and how they have improved the system.”
Earlier, Aam Aadmi Party’s local leader Isudan Gadhvi had said that in eight months, the AAP will form the government in Gujarat and will provide high quality education. “We will build schools in Gujarat just like good schools have been built in Delhi. We will also make Gujarat a leader on the education front,” he said.
Manish Sisodia is currently in Gujarat to take a tour of government schools run by the BJP government and take stock of the work done by the BJP government in this area. Sisodia further said that if BJP has not done good work to improve the condition of school in Gujarat, then AAP will take this matter to the people. He said only Arvind Kejriwal’s model can ensure good education and proper jobs for youth, and so Gujarat should come under his leadership. He further stated that only Kejriwal and his governance will be able to improve the future of the youth of Gujarat.
