An old feud turned into a group clash in the Ambawadi region of Ahmedabad that took the area residents by surprise. In the usually peaceful Ambawadi, West Ahmedabad, two groups of people got into a violent fight. Unlike East Ahmedabad, this was an unusual sight for the locals.
A person allegedly started a fight with a crowd of mourners on Monday afternoon. The attack involved nine people. Typically, west Ahmedabad is a quiet area full of hustling vehicles, tall towers, and residential apartments. But, on Monday, the afternoon scenes in Ambawadi were quite different.
The police have lodged complaints from both parties who were injured severely during the clash. Further, the charges on the parties are for assault with a weapon and molestation. Thus, the Ellisbridge police have registered a joint complaint from both parties.
Cops have initiated a probe to find the reason behind the attacks’ motive and the feud’s origin. The police might make arrests based on the complaint, given the situation’s intensity.
