| Updated: June 27, 2022 09:33

WhatsApp is advancing to become more than just a social app. For its latest feature, it has collaborated with Sirone, a feminine hygiene brand, to launch a period tracker. The process is simple . Users just have to send a “Hi” to the Sirona’s whatsapp Business Account on 9718866644 and they can successfully keep track of their periods. Users will also be required to share details about their periods and last periods information which will help the chatbot keep a record and share reminders about the coming cycle dates.

The period tracker is developed on the Whatsapp Business Platform with an intuitive chatbox to deliver an effortless interface to the user. There are three major aims of the app-to track periods, help conceive and aid in avoiding pregnancy. Sirona also has another app that provides an entire ecosystem made up of menstrual health and hygiene. It consists of an open platform to post about experiences, any doubts about the act of menstruating, and solutions for the same. It is a place to connect and bond for menstruators through awareness and education, which are the primary goals of Sirona.

Deep Bajaj Co-Founder and CEO of Sirona Hygiene Pvt Ltd said that technology has the potency to impact the lives of menstruators and they sought to bring that impact through the power of AI and intuitive technology. He said that WhatsApp, which has become a big part of everyone’s lives, was a good choice to deliver what they wished for, as WhatsApp provides ease of access, which is necessary for the building of this app.
