Morning Vibes: Voting Today On 89 Seats Of Saurashtra-South Gujarat, PM Modi’s Mega Roadshow In Ahmedabad

Great democratic festival of Gujarat, and there are still a few minutes for the Gujarat Assembly election’s first round. 89 assembly seats in South Gujarat and Saurashtra are currently up for election. 788 candidates are competing in the first round. 

In the first phase, the fate of BJP stalwarts like Harsh Sanghvi from Surat Majura, Vinod Mordia from Katargam, Purnesh Modi from Surat West seat, Jitu Vaghani from Bhavnagar West seat, Babu Bokhiria from Porbandar, RivaBa Jadeja will be decided. The public will decide today whether to send Arjun Modhwadia, Lalit Kagathra, and Indranil Rajyaguru of the Congress to the Assembly or not. The future of new politicians like Isudan Gadhvi, Gopal Italia, and Alpesh Kathiria of the Aam Aadmi Party will also be decided by the public today.

The first phase of assembly polls includes 53 seats in Saurashtra-Kutch. Voting starts at 8 am today. Then Saurashtra’s largest police presence is arranged at Gondal seat as here two groups of Kshatriya society are facing each other. As big political maneuvers are going to be fought on the Kutiana seat too, the whole of Gujarat will be watching here. Apart from this, as cricketer Ravindra Jadeja’s wife Rivaba is contesting from the BJP on the Jamnagar North seat, there are speculations that there will be an uphill battle here as well.

Today, 47.45 lakh voters in the Surat district will cast votes to determine the viability of 168 candidates running for 16 seats. 47.45 lakh voters are registered after the change.
