In a shocking unfortunate event taken place in Balaghat district of Madhya Pradesh, a 50-year-old man allegedly killed his wife over a fit of rage when he had to wait for his wife to pass him a towel after bathing. The police officials reported this incident on Monday, November 8 however it took place on the evening of November 6 (Saturday) in Hirapur village under Kirnapur police station limits of the Balaghat district.
Kirnapur police station’s inspector Rajendra Kumar Baria, while quoting a complaint filed by Pushpa Bai’s family members stated that the accused named Rajkumar Bahe (50), was a daily wage employee of the forest department and he asked his wife Pushpa Bai (45) to give him a towel after taking bath.
The official also added that the accused’s wife told him to wait for some time as she was washing utensils. This angered the man, who then repeatedly hit on his wife’s head with a shovel.
According to the police, the woman died on the spot. Moreover, the accused also threatened his 23-year-old daughter when she tried to stop him.
The body of Pushpa Bai was handed over to the family members on Sunday after postmortem. The accused was arrested on Sunday and a case was registered against him with charges of murder and other relevant provisions.
