Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport continues its endeavour to offer new services and improve passenger experience with every passing day. A new arrival hall is made operational in this endeavour to enhance existing infrastructure.
This new arrival hall adds two more belts in a 2250 square metre area. Now the domestic arrival area has four baggage belts in total. The enhanced capacity of the arrival area with infrastructural addition will help enhance passenger comfort and convenience.
Additionally, two new bus boarding gates will be operational soon for departing passengers in the domestic terminal. Two new boarding gates and increased security hold area will help meet the increasing demand.
With the ongoing festive season, passenger movement is at an all-time high, and SVPI airport has already crossed passenger numbers of over 36000 in a day. It is around 37% higher than the December 2021 passenger movement average. The coming year will be full of surprises for passengers with several additions to infrastructure to enhance their experience while travelling through SVPI airport.
Recently SVPI airport created dedicated drop-off lanes for passengers outside the Domestic terminal in addition to a new food zone outside Arrival and several new services introduced during the year.
