The deficient rain trend in Ahmedabad is now likely to give way to the exact opposite – heavy to very heavy rainfall in the city during the next three days. The city is likely to receive 5 to 8 inches of rain from July 5 to 10.
There will be heavy to very heavy rainfall from July 5-7 across the state as a low-pressure activated over northern Odisha is causing rains through Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh. The effect of low-pressure may lead to light to heavy rains across the state.
Dr. Manorama Mohanty, Director of IMD, told the media, “There will be good rains in Gujarat in the next five days. There is a possibility of heavy to very heavy rains. There is a possibility of heavy rains on 8th July. Good rains in most parts of Gujarat on 7th July and 8th July are expected.”
