Purnesh Modi, Minister for Roads, Buildings, Transport, Civil Aviation, Tourism, and Pilgrimage, advised citizens to use a mobile application named after him. The app aims to help citizens contact the Gujarat government as transportation infrastructure bears the brunt of the severe rain.
On Saturday, the government released an official statement saying that the Purnesh Modi app will be operational all around the clock. Gujarat residents can share information on road damage through the Android App.
The Gujarat Minister initially launched the mobile application at Ambaji in Banaskantha in October 2021. According to him, it is an attempt to assist individuals in submitting criticism or suggestions for the departments he can oversee.
The Gujarat State Government made the application available for downloads on the Google store around Dusshera 2021. However, the Ministry has become more active now with the application.
As you download and open the application, you will have to fill in details like Name, Number, Pincode, Address, Landmark, Taluka, and District. Then, you can submit your complaints and suggestions.
In the light of the heavy showers in the Gujarat state, infrastructure and public commutation have undergone a lot of damage. The objective of the application is to assist citizens in case of such damages.
Two weeks ago, Purnesh Modi also tested COVID-19 positive.
