| Updated: February 26, 2022 15:53

Congress President Rahul Gandhi has reached Dwarka via helicopter today to attend the second day of the three-day Chintan Shibir.

He has offered prayers at Dwarkadhish temple at 11:30 am in Dwarka and is to attend a meeting of party workers from 1-4 pm in Gujarat that heads for Assembly polls later this year. The three-day meet is meant to train the party workers.

The Gujarat Congress leaders including Congress Committee Jagdish Thakor, state congress in-charge
Raghu Sharma and others are present.

Along with addressing issue of senior congress leaders leaving the party and joining BJP prior to state
assembly elections, issues such as inflation, unemployment and female safety are also likely to be discussed.

Rahul Gandhi had started the jan sampak yatra in 2017 right ahead of Gujarat assembly general elections. Gujarat is again to witness general elections of State assembly later this year.

During his visit in 2017, he had visited temples and had called himself a “Janeu Dhari Brahmin”, with many claiming he had employed the “soft Hindutva” card to beat the BJP.
