The Congress on Tuesday ended the suspense over Rahul Gandhi campaigning in Gujarat because of his involvement in the Bharat Jodo Yatra. He figures in the list of 40 star campaigners for the first phase of polls released, though no dates are given for his campaign.
His mother and former Congress President Sonia Gandhi, and sister Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, are also in the list of the star campaigners led by party president Mallikarjun Kharge.
Prominent in the star campaigners’ list are chief ministers Ashok Gehlot and Bhupesh Baghel, former Madhya Pradesh CMs Digvijaya Singh and Kamal Nath, Sachin Pilot, AICC general secretary Shaktisinh Gohil and Tariq Anwar, Arjun Modhwadia, Sidharth Patel, Jignesh Mewani and Raghu Sharma.
