Indian Meteorological Department has predicted rainfall in Gujarat for the next four days. From Wednesday onward sudden change in the weather was seen as some parts of Gujarat received out-of-season rainfall. The city of Ahmedabad received rain in the evening.
From 6am to 2pm Dwarka, Surendranagar, Jamnagar, Banaskantha and Ahmedabad district received rainfall. A total of 36 talukas reported either drizzle or rain.
Western disturbance and two cyclonic circulation systems have caused weather to change in North Gujarat and Banaskantha, where most parts of the district received rain.
On Wednesday, the hazy atmosphere and rise in the lower temperature by 3 degrees caused the morning temperature to be around 18 degrees whereas in the afternoon rise in the temperature by 4.5 degrees has caused the temperature to be around 23 to 24 degrees.
Normally, the temperature in North Gujarat stays around 8 to 10 degrees in the first week of January but the western disturbance has caused the temperature to rise 10 degrees higher than normal.
Rain in parts of Saurashtra:
Rajkot received a thunderstorm on Wednesday. As western disturbance is powerful, many parts of Saurashtra like Rajkot, Jamnagar, Surendranagar, Morbi, and Kutch will receive rainfall.
The State will see drop in temperature after 11 January. The temperature will drop around 3 to 5 degrees.
