Rajasthan: Ban On Sale And Purchase Of Chinese Manjha

| Updated: January 7, 2023 5:24 pm

Jaipur District Collector Mr. Prakash Rajpurohit has issued an order banning the purchase, sale and use of metal manjha from January 5, 2023 midnight to January 16, 2023 midnight. The district administration is serious about the possibility of using metal made, metal mixed and Chinese Manjha on Makar Sankranti.

Banned Manjha is made of a mixture of metals, is sharp, and is a good conductor of electricity, putting two-wheeler drivers and birds in danger. Because manjha is a good conductor of electricity, it may cause damage to the kite flyer and power outages if it comes into contact with the electric wires.

Considering the potential risks, the Collector has issued orders prohibiting the use, control, and sale of metal made, metal mixed, and Chinese Manjha. Disobedience or disobedience of orders will be considered a punishable offence under Section-188 of the Indian Penal Code, and action will be taken against disobedient individuals in accordance with the rules.
