Rajasthan will soon see the introduction of Vande Bharat Express trains after the Indian Railways set aside Rs 30 crore for these high-end services. The state already has five Vande Bharat chair car rakes allocated by the railway board, with two going to Jaipur and one each to Madar, Udaipur, and Sri Ganganagar.

“In the budget, Rs 30 crore has been allocated for Vande Bharat services in Rajasthan. Besides, we need to upgrade the coach depots for the maintenance of these premium rakes. The work for upgrading the Jaipur coach depot would start soon,” said Vijay Sharma, general manager of NWR.
