Reckless Driving Video Leads to Arrests in Ahmedabad

The J Division traffic police on Thursday arrested two men and a transgender individual, all residents of Vatva, following the circulation of a video showcasing their reckless driving and indecent behavior. The video, which quickly went viral depicted the trio dangerously riding a scooter between Hatkeshwar and Aavkar Hall Crossroads.

According to the First Information Report (FIR) filed with the J Division traffic police, the viral video featured a man driving a scooter with another man and a woman seated opposite each other, allegedly engaging in inappropriate behavior. Utilizing CCTV footage, law enforcement was able to identify the vehicle’s owner as 21-year-old Vishal Dantani, who subsequently led them to Vipul Chunara. The woman in the video was identified as transgender individual Kishan Rajput, also known as Sonia De.

The police have charged the trio for reckless driving and aiding and abetting under Sections 279 and 114 of the Indian Penal Code, Sections 177, 184 and 181(3) of the Motor Vehicles Act, and for acts of indecency under Sections 110 and 117 of the Gujarat Police Act. The arrests highlight the ongoing efforts by local law enforcement to ensure road safety and uphold public decency.
