| Updated: June 27, 2024 20:59

Reliance Jio, one of India’s leading telecom operators, has announced a tariff hike that will take effect from July 3. This move comes after a gap of approximately two-and-a-half years since the last rate adjustment.

Key Changes in Mobile Services Rates:

  • The lowest recharge price will increase to ₹19, representing a 27% rise from the previous ₹15 for a 1 GB data add-on pack.
  • The 75 GB postpaid data plan will now cost ₹449, up from ₹399.
  • The popular ₹666 unlimited plan with an 84-day validity has been revised to ₹799, reflecting a 20% increase.

Jio’s Commitment to Quality and Affordability:

In its official statement, Jio emphasized its commitment to providing high-quality services at competitive prices. The company’s rollout of True 5G technology positions India as a global leader, with nearly 85% of the country’s operational 5G cells being powered by Jio. Users can expect a superior 5G experience on Jio’s network, complete with unlimited data on leading plans at no extra cost.

Investing in Innovation and Sustainable Growth:

Akash Ambani, Chairperson of Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited, highlighted the significance of these new plans. He stated, “Our industry innovations and investments in 5G and AI technology drive sustainable growth. Jio remains committed to providing ubiquitous, high-quality, and affordable internet—a backbone for Digital India.”
