Reliance Retail announced a long-term partnership with Gap Inc. on Wednesday to bring the iconic American fashion brand Gap to India. With this agreement, Reliance Industries’ retail arm has become the official retailer for Gap in India across all channels.
Reliance Retail will introduce Gap’s latest fashion offerings to Indian consumers through a mix of exclusive brand stores, multi-brand store expressions, and digital commerce platforms as part of the partnership.

Reliance Retail said in a statement that the purchase aims to take advantage of Gap’s position as a top casual lifestyle brand and its established strengths in running strong omnichannel retail networks, developing local manufacturing, and creating sourcing reductions.
