As many as 1,717 new TB patients were registered in a single day on September 23 under the ongoing active TB case finding operation in Gujarat. So far, a total of 1.01 lakh cases of TB have been reported in the state, with 87 percent of patients reported to have been cured.
On normal days, 500 to 600 new patients are being registered in Gujarat every day and there are 1,717 new cases in a single day as well as more than 900 cases were reported a few days ago. According to health officials, the central government has set a target of finding 1.95 lakh patients in 2021. According to him, a population of 191 crores has been mapped in all the villages of the state. Home screening is being done by 21 thousand teams and about 47 thousand health and NTEP staff.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi called for the eradication of TB from India by the year 2025. And to achieve this goal, all TB patients can be detected quickly and treated immediately to prevent the spread of the infection.
