A 55-year-old Juhapura resident filed a complaint with Vejalpur police on Monday, alleging that someone stole Rs 1.9 lakh cash from a refrigerator at his home. The complainant, Abdulkarim Shaikh, informed police that the theft occurred on Friday between 8.15 a.m. and 1 p.m.
According to Shaikh, he received the money on October 6 from Rehana in Shahpur. He added that his son came from work late at 1.30 a.m. on Friday and that they went to work without checking the refrigerator.
When they got home and opened the refrigerator to fetch cold water, they discovered that the Rs 1.9 lakh that had been kept in the basket had gone stolen.
