Rupali Ganguly Joins BJP Ahead of Lok Sabha Elections

| Updated: May 1, 2024 13:55

‘Anupama’ famed actor Rupali Ganguly joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) ahead of the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections at BJP headquarters in Delhi on Wednesday.

The event was graced by the presence of party stalwarts Vinod Tawde and Anil Baluni. Speaking to the media after her induction, Ganguly expressed her eagerness to contribute to the ‘Mahayagya’ of development. “I feel that I should also take part in this,” she said, seeking blessings and support for her new journey.

Post her induction, Ganguly, accompanied by astrologer Ameya Joshi, met BJP President JP Nadda in Delhi. This move comes after her meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in March this year, a moment she shared with her followers on Instagram.

Describing the meeting as a dream come true, Ganguly wrote, “Last Week was special for reasons beyond words and 8th March 2024 will go down as one of the most memorable and cherished days of my life! A day I will not stop reliving in my mind and feel euphoric about.”

Ganguly’s entry into BJP follows the footsteps of other notable personalities including actor Kangana Ranaut, six-time Madhya Pradesh MLA Ramniwas Rawat, and Priyanka Gandhi’s close aide Tajinder Bittu, who have also joined the party this year.
