Saurashtra University Students To Study Management style of Lord Hanuman

| Updated: November 12, 2021 13:19

Saurashtra university in Gujarat will perhaps become the first university in the country to study Hanuman and his management tactics in a course that would lead to a management degree.

Hanuman had great management and coordination skills. By inculcating his wonderful knowledge and tactics, our present day management students will get an edge over other management pass-outs, University Pro. VC Dr Vijay Desani has said.

And of course, no one is complaining in Gujarat.

A senior BJP minister from Saurashtra told Vibes of India (Vo!) that throughout the epic of Ramayana, Hanumanji shines out as a super management guru.

Hanuman acts as a management guru throughout the Ramayan, right from the abduction of Devi Sita. He coordinates her ghar vapasi.

Like a true management professional, Hanuman chalks out the strategies, routes and plans for Lord Rama. It was Hanuman who like a true Management Guru outlined how Lord Rama needed a powerful ally on the basis of give and take.

Lord Hanuman’s management skills were not just strategic and tactical. It had a high level of Emotional Quotient too. Examples of him going on a hunt for medicine for Lakshmana and Hanuman advising Lord Rama to help king Sugreev to get back his wife were examples in this category. That mission accomplishment of a project is a must, Hanuman as a ruthless management consultant also advised Lord Rama to kill his own brother Bali by shooting an arrow from a hidden position as he knew that Bali could not be defeated in a face-to-face fight. Thus Rama got a formidable Vaanar Sena along with Sugreev. The next task was to locate Sita in Lanka. For this, he took Rama’s ring along with him. He flew to Lanka in a Sookshma Roop (diminutive form) to escape the eyes of Ravan’s guards. When Sita was convinced that he is a friend, Hanuman acquired a Viraat Roop (Huge form) to convince her that Rama has very strong allies.

When Lakshman fell ill, he brought from Lanka Sukhain vaid when he was asleep and then he flew to the mountain bearing Sanjeevani herb as suggested by the vaid. As all the herbs on the mountain looked the same, he took no time to bring the whole mountain along with him without wasting time or dwelling in useless negotiations or meetings in contemporary parlance. During his visit to Lanka, he discovered that Ravan’s brother Vibhishan was a devotee of Rama. So he introduced him to Rama. It was Vibhishan who disclosed that Ravan could be killed only if an arrow is shot at his naval. And thus Ravan was killed. This was Hanuman proved himself to be a great Management Guru with apt project deadlines. His planning, execution and delivery were outstanding. Hanuman also was an expert in delegation of duties. What was most exceptional about Lord Hanuman was his time management skills, this enthusiastic management professor of Saurashtra University explained to Vibes of India saying in next five years, with this syllabus,  Saurasthra’s management students will even surpass Indian Institute of Management (IIM) students.

Gujaratis have a great entrepreneurship DNA. Saurashtra University feels that knowledge of our epic scriptures will further sharpen the business and management skills of the students.

Saurashtra University authorities told Vibes of India that so powerful is the presence of Hanuman that even Barack Obama has disclosed keeping a small idol of Lord Hanuman. According to this Saurashtra University professor who does not want to be named because he feels there are too many anti-Hindu traitors around; it was because of this hanuman idol only that Obama could defeat Hillary Clinton.

Thus people realize that why Lord Rama himself depended so much on Hanuman. It must be for some strong reasons that in the far-off US, the Democratic Party’s Presidential candidate Barack Obama kept a small statuette of Hanuman with him. And it is this faith that enabled him to defeat the formidable Hillary Clinton in the crucial democratic nomination that changed the course of American politics.

Gujarat was the first State where BJP tasted a majority victory. After becoming the laboratory of all BJP experiments in propaganda, myths and of course Hindutva; it is albeit late but Saurashtra University students will be “privileged”as the University has now decided to include chapters on Bhagwad Gita and Ramcharitmanas.

This comes after another BJP ruled State Maharashtra having recently declared to include life lessons of RSS founder KB Hedgewar and Jan Sangh founder Deendayal Upadhyay in the MBBS course. In Madhya Pradesh, the ruling BJP has also announced to include lessons on Ramsetu, the mythological bridge lord Ram used to reach Lanka, in the state engineering courses. Applied philosophy students in MP are being taught practical behavioural tactics of Ramcharit Manas.

Saurashtra University, headquartered in Rajkot, Gujarat has formed a special committee to prepare the syllabus which will include the lessons on events of Gita and Ramcharitmanas. The Vice-Chancellor of Saurashtra University, Dr. Vijay Desani said that two new courses – Computer Science and Banking have been commenced by the university from the current running semester and from next semester, events of both – Bhagavad Gita and Ramcharitmanas will be included as chapters in the syllabus and the university believes that this inclusion will inculcate good values in the students.

The chapters on this will be added to the curriculum of various departments of the Arts faculty. For example, the chapters from Ramcharitmanas, which suggest the ways to live life, will be included in the curriculum of the Philosophy department. Also, the recommendation has been made to the committee to include certain verses from Bhagavad Gita which is a conversation between Lord Krishna and Arjun on the battlefield of Kurukshetra, Dr. Desani added.

Apart from this, addressing Lord Hanuman as the management guru, he said that the story of Lord Hanuman and events like Lanka Vijay will be added to the curriculum of the management department.
