An FIR under IPC sections 420 and 406 and sections of the IT (Amendment) Act is lodged against unidentified persons in connection with incident of hacked phone of Assistant Inspector General (AIG) Arun Singh of Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) at Airport Sector in Ahmedabad, wherein a fraud of Rs 75,000 was committed.
According to an FIR lodged at Airport police station Sunday night, a WhatsApp message was sent to Chief Airport Security Officer (CASO) CISF Rajesh by the phone of AIG Arun Singh where money was fraudulently sought by the accused hackers impersonating as Singh.
Police have started investigation after the complaint was filed by CISF Sub Inspector Chandrakesh Pandey informing that On October 9, him and another SI were told by CASO Rajesh over telephone to deposit Rs 75,000 to a bank account number.
It was a fraud committed by some unidentified person or persons by making a call from AIG’s mobile to CASO for asking money to be deposited in a particular bank account, which two SIs did upon being directed by the CASO.
The CISF under the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) serves as security for the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport (SVPI) in Ahmedabad.
