A class 10 student, living in Jamalpur befriended a woman named Janhvi on a Social Media platform, Instagram, and soon became good friends. After talking to her for a short period of time, he got a message from a profile named Anshu, warning him not to chat with Janhvi and a person named Sunil threatened him in person when he met him at Geeta Mandir and later he stopped interacting with her.
He later got another friend request from one Neha Zala and during their interaction, she shared a nude video of her and later asked the teen to do the same. He soon was blackmailed into sharing more videos and was threatened that his videos would be leaked if he did not share more.
The teen was then threatened through calls by a man named Sunil who had met him at Geeta Mandir. He demanded money to not release the teen’s nude videos. The boy was constantly blackmailed by him until one day when a call meant for him was picked up by his uncle and the whole issue came to light. The family approached the police and filed a case. Kagdapith police is investigating the case.

The father of a 20-year-old has filed a complaint with the cyber crime cell stating that someone uploaded his daughter’s photos from a fake profile on Social Media platform, Facebook, in order to defame her, and had also stated that when he got his daughter married he was threatened not to get her married.
