The Indian Premier League (IPL) Finals will take place on Sunday, May 29, between Rajasthan Royals and Gujarat Titans at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Motera, Ahmedabad.
The final match will be prefixed by a grand closing ceremony. The IPL closing ceremony will begin at 6.30 pm. Thereon, the match will begin at 8 pm.
The evening will be a musical tribute to India to mark the 75th Year of Independence, in tandem with ‘Aazdi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’. Oscar-winning composer AR Rahman will lead this segment. Bollywood star Ranveer Singh is expected to perform and his sequence has been choreographed by Shiamak Davar. Actor Urvashi Rautela is expected to lend glitz and glamour to the evening.
Reports also indicate Jharkhand’s famous chhau dancers to light up the stage with a 10-member team. To top it all, Laal Singh Chaddha aka Aamir Khan will promote his upcoming during the second strategic timeout.
Though initially a rumour, it has now been confirmed that PM Narendra Modi will remain present for the match. BCCI President Sourav Ganguly, secretary Jay Shah, IPL chairman Brijesh Patel, and other officer bearers will also be present.
