Long Awaited Promotions Released In Gujarat Police: Seven SPs Promoted As DIGs

Home department has issued orders for promotion and transfer of 7 SPs of the state as DIGs. Deepan Bhadran at present posted as Superintendent of Police at Jamnagar has been promoted as Deputy Inspector General of Police and has been appointed at Anti Terrorist Squad, Ahmedabad. Makrand Chauhan acting Superintendent of Police of Zone-3, Ahmedabad City has been appointed as Deputy Inspector General of Police of Anti Corruption Bureau.

The SP to DIG promotions were awaited since long. Orders for promotion from SP to DIG were issued by the Home Department late this evening. As many as 7 SPs of the state have been promoted and transferred as DIGs by the Home Department.

When Deepan Bhadran, the incumbent Jamnagar SP was posted in Jamnagar, rumours were rife that he had been brought to Jamnagar to tackle issue of land mafia Jayesh Patel. Incidentally, MP Parimal Nathwani had taken up the issue of law and order publicly. DH Parmar and ML Ninama, both promoted to DIG rank are posted at the same place at MT Gandhinagar and Central Jail Surat ( Lajpor) respectively. Parikshita Rathore has been promoted from Western Railway SP and has been appointed as DIG of CID Crime.
