Pujya Shri Pramukhswami Maharaj Shatabdi Mahotsav will be celebrated for a month starting December 15. The venue, Swaminarayan Nagar, is being put together abutting the Sardar Patel Ring Road between Science City and Oganaj. More than 50% of the construction is completed by the volunteers, who said that they were willing to put together 24-hour shifts if need be.
Keeping in mind Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s cleanliness campaign, the event organisers have pledged to maintain total cleanliness on the premises.
Swaminarayan Nagar will be spread over 200 acres of the total 600 acres given by farmers, builders and traders for the festival.
The venue will have a 30-ft statue of Pramukhswami Maharaj, besides around 100 small idols. No effort is being spared to ensure the grand success of the event. The light show alone is estimated to attract around 15,000 people.
The venue will have seven gates and the entire area will be under CCTV camera surveillance.
