Surat is basking in the glory of Dhruvi Jasani—a resident of Lakshmi Narayan Society in Varachha area of Surat. Jasani has recently secured admission at the NASA Academy in the US. Only two people from the entire country have been selected to study at the academy. Besides, Jasani, the other is a boy from Punjab.
After completing her Class 12 in science, Jasani appeared for four tests as part of the NASA application process. As many as 3500 students appeared in the first exam, and by the fourth exam only 300 students were selected.
Jasani, whose father is in the handloom business and mother a homemaker, will be trained to travel to space as part of the NASA curriculum.
Gujarat State Education Minister Prafulbhai Pansheriya reached Jasani’s home and honored her.
