Surat Hosts Padayatra To Celebrate ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ Campaign

Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel this morning participated in the ‘padayatra’ in Surat, which was organized by the city’s Municipal Corporation to celebrate the Centre’s Har Ghar Tiranga campaign. This campaign has been initiated by the Centre to mark 75 years of India’s Independence, the ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’.

While addressing the event, CM Patel said, “I congratulate all the Sutradhars of Surat Municipal Corporation for having organized a beautiful plan to awaken the national spirit of ‘Har Ghar Tiranga, Ghar Ghar Tiranga’ in every citizen of Surat.”

Furthermore, CM Patel applauded the people of Surat for their participation in this event and for rejuvenating the sense of patriotism among the people. He said that such events will help raise national consciousness and encourage people to hoist the Tricolor at their homes from August 13 to 15. He urged everyone to come together to celebrate Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav.

Besides CM Patel, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) state President CP Paatil also attended the event. He said, “While celebrating this event, we should remember our ancestors and forefathers who fought for the Independence of India. Today we have the freedom to hoist this flag because of their sacrifices. Many of them took bullets on their chest so that we could hoist this flag.” 

Paatil also urged the youth to learn and understand the history of India. He said the youth, especially, should understand the value of the tricolour, and hoist it in houses. He also urged people to take selfies with the hoisted flag and share it on social media to display a spirit of nationalism.

Paatil said that while this program was hosted in Surat, such events should be organized all over the country to promote the Har Ghar Tiranga initiative. He said all Indians must the same vigour shown by the people of Surat.
