Surat is all set to get two new bridges later this month. The first one is the newly refurbished Ring Road flyover bridge. The other is the country’s first three-layer flyover connecting Man Darwaja to Sahara Darwaja and the latter to Puna Gam.
The Ring Road Bridge was set for a June 16 inauguration. However, some more work has deferred the date to June 26. Report by the civic body noted that some more superstructure lifting and bearing replacement work is required. The bridge was closed to traffic between March 8 to May 9.
Both bridges will be inaugurated on June 26.
