Kulguru Muni Swami Rajarshi, the supreme disciple of Sant Yogacharya Kripalu Maharaj, passed away on Tuesday morning. As the disciples of Muniji grieve his demise, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also tweeted about it. He said in a tweet, “Rajarshi Muniji contributed several years of his life to the development of Yoga. Heartfelt prayers for his soul’s peace and deepest condolences to the bereaved followers.”
Rajarshi Muniji propagated Ashtanga Yoga, not only in Gujarat but across the world. He also set up several Ashrams in India. Moreover, people from foreign land also came in to receive his guidance.
Rajarshi Muniji also founded the Lakulish Yoga University in Ahmedabad. The President of India honoured him. He has also authored many books like Classical Hatha Yoga and Infinite Grace.
The disciples assembled for his last darshan on the morning of August 28 at Malav Kripalu Ashram and in the afternoon at Dabhoi. His last rites will be held at Jakhan-Limbdi.
