A technical malfunction on the Vande Bharat Express left passengers travelling from Ahmedabad to Mumbai stranded when the train’s doors failed to open. The incident, which occurred this morning at Surat railway station, resulted in a one-hour delay and disrupted the train’s schedule.
Upon the train’s arrival at Surat railway station at 8:20 am, passengers found themselves unable to leave or board as the automatic doors remained shut. Despite attempts to rectify the situation, including turning off the lights and air conditioning, the doors remained closed due to an unidentified technical glitch.
In response to the malfunction, technical staff were called to the scene. The team worked diligently to manually open the doors, allowing passengers to finally alight from coach C14. The process of manually opening the doors, however, resulted in a prolonged halt at Surat railway station.
The unexpected delay caused by the technical glitch led to frustration among passengers.
