The former cricketer and Bihar’s most eligible bachelor Tejaswi Yadav is bowled over finally. An important politician in his own right and chief of Bihar’s single largest political party RJD, Tejaswi Yadav has chosen his bride-to-be. The younger son of two chief ministers of Bihar Lalu Prasad Yadav and Rabri Devi is all set to get engaged tomorrow (December 9)
The ceremony is believed to remain a close family affair with not more than 50 invitees in New Delhi. 32-year-old Tejaswi is one of the nine children of his parents. Normally avoiding the questions about his marriage, Tejaswi once said he wanted to be with someone who understands his busy schedules, can support his work and be someone who can be with his family in times of their ups and downs.
It is said Tejashwi delegated the responsibility of choosing a bride for him to his mother Rabri, however, it is believed that Tejashwi is marrying his long-time friend who belongs to Haryana and Delhi.
Known for earthen simplicity, after being asked incessantly regarding the marriage of Tejaswi , his mother Rabri Devi had once retorted that he will marry after Nitish Kumar’s son Nishant and Ram Vilas Paswan’s son Chirag gets married since he is younger to them. Tejashwi, 32 as the Leader of Opposition in Bihar Legislative Assembly is the youngest opposition leader in any state assembly. He is also the only one left among the nine children of Lalu Prasad and Rabri Devi to get married.
Much praised for handling the responsibility of the party, Tejaswi Yadav has come off age in his father’s prolonged absence and established himself as the worthy heir to the political legacy of Lalu Yadav.
Tejaswi’s elder brother Tej Pratap Yadav’s experience with marriage which took place in 2018 is not a happy one. Tej got married to veteran leader Chandrika Rai’s daughter Aishwarya but within a year rift between the two was public. Now the family is tight-lipped over the details of their younger son’s match, with no public information available on the bride-to-be.
It should be recalled that in 2016, the young RJD leader once got 44,000 marriage proposals by women from across the country on the WhatsApp helpline. He was the Bihar deputy chief minister then. The helpline was issued for complaints about the condition of roads but was instead bombarded with 44000 marriage proposals out of a total of 47000 with their full personal details such as their academic qualifications and family background.
