The case of Lakhimpur Kheri in Uttar Pradesh is gaining momentum. Family of Gurvinder Singh – one of the farmers who died in the incident had raised doubts over post mortem reports and requested for another post mortem.
In the purview of this, the District Magistrate of Bahraich, Dinesh Chandra said that “An expert panel of doctors had come from Lucknow to Chief Minister’s Office. The panel will give the result. The post mortem is being done again as the satisfaction of the family is our priority.”
The post mortem of Gurvinder Singh has been performed again on Wednesday.
“The state government complied and post mortem was done again to ensure it is done impartially and transparently,” Chandra added. In response to this, a family member of Gurvinder Singh said that the team from Lucknow came for the post-mortem and they have no issue now. Asserting the cremation of Gurvinder’s body after few rituals, his family member said the “We will accept the result.”
Nine people including four farmers and a journalist had died in the deadly scuffle in the Lakhimpur Kheri district of Uttar Pradesh on Sunday.
