Two Arrested, Five Booked for Impersonating in SSC Exam at Bhat Center

Ahmedabad, Gujarat: Two men were arrested by Adalaj police for impersonating candidates in the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) exam for constable recruitment in central armed police forces (CAPFs) held on Friday.

The FIR was registered at Adalaj police station against five individuals: Bablu Kansa, Atendrasinh Shivsinh, Radheshyam Sharma, Ashish Sharma, and Ajitsingh Gujjar. They have been charged with forgery, cheating, and criminal conspiracy.

The complainant, Raja Vala, representing Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) – the authorized exam conducting body for the SSC – reported the impersonation attempts. The incident occurred at the Bhat exam center overseen by venue commanding officer Kaliya Ambedkar and SSC observer Swadesh Mandal.

During the exam, discrepancies were identified between the photographs and application forms of two candidates – Bablu Kansa and Atendrasinh Shivsinh, both from Madhya Pradesh. Investigation revealed that Kansa had sent Radheshyam Sharma, another Madhya Pradesh resident, to take the exam in his place. Sharma’s photo was superimposed on Kansa’s Aadhaar card. Similarly, Ashish Sharma, a resident of Firozabad, Uttar Pradesh, impersonated Atendrasinh Shivsinh. The fifth accused, Ajitsingh Gujjar, is believed to be part of the larger conspiracy.
