In class 10, students will now have the option of two papers, standard and basic, in the mathematics paper. Students who do not want to take science after class 10th will be able to opt for the basic paper. Students who want to study science after class 10th will have to choose the standard paper. This decision has been taken keeping in mind those students who are weak in the Mathematics subject.
Mathematics is not important in commerce and arts except in science. Thus, a large number of students who want to study commerce or arts in the future, till now were wasting their time in studying maths. Keeping this in mind, this alternative arrangement has been made.
Students who want to take Science in the future have to choose a standard paper. Those students who will give basic maths paper instead of standard paper, will not be able to choose science as a stream. These students will have to give maths standard paper in the supplementary examination to be held in the month of July.
