Virat Kohli’s Restaurant Chain Has ‘No Entry’ for LGBTQIA+ Guests

| Updated: November 22, 2021 12:16

Virat Kohli’s restaurant chain, One8 Commune has come under the radar for reportedly discriminating against the LGBTQIA+ community. As per an Instagram post by an LGBTQIA+ awareness page, Yes, We Exist, the restaurant doesn’t allow gay groups or couples to enter the restaurant premises. And trans women are subject to clothing.

Indrajeet, the founder of Yes, We Exist, spoke in detail about the incident. He informed that he had called the New Delhi, Pune and Kolkata branch of the restaurant asking them for a response regarding the LGBTQIA+ guests.

However, out of the three branches only Pune branch responded to the call and informed that only cisgenders are allowed to enter the restaurants. Gay men or a group of gay men are not allowed. And trans women’s entry is subject to their clothing.
