Wedding celebrations may soon be on the horizon for the Gandhi-Vadra family. Raihan Vadra, son of Congress leader and Wayanad MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and businessman Robert Vadra, has reportedly gotten engaged to Aviva Baig, his long-time partner.
According to reports, Raihan and Aviva have been in a relationship for nearly seven years and are now ready to take the next step. The couple is expected to formalise their engagement at a ceremony likely to be held in Rajasthan.
While January is being mentioned as the tentative timeline for the event, there has been no official confirmation from the family so far.
The engagement news gained traction after Aviva, who is based in Delhi, shared the announcement on Instagram and later added it to her highlights. It is also being widely reported in the media that Raihan proposed to Aviva after seeking approval from her family, adding a traditional touch to the milestone moment.
According to media reports, Aviva Baig comes from a well-known business family in Delhi. Her father, Imran Baig, is a businessman, while her mother, Nandita Baig, is a noted interior designer. Nandita Baig is believed to share a long-standing friendship with Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and is said to have played a role in designing the interiors of the Congress headquarters, Indira Bhawan. The Baig and Vadra families are reportedly close, and Raihan and Aviva have known each other for several years.
Academically, Aviva studied at Delhi’s prestigious Modern School on Barakhamba Road before pursuing higher education at OP Jindal Global University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication and Journalism. Beyond academics, she also distinguished herself in sports and was a national-level football player.
Professionally, Aviva has carved a niche for herself in the creative field. She currently works as a photographer based in Delhi and is the co-founder of Atelier 11, a photography studio and production company that caters to clients across India. Her photographic work has been showcased at several prominent exhibitions, including ‘You Cannot Miss This’ with Method Gallery in 2023, the same-titled showcase under the India Art Fair’s Young Collector Programme in 2023, ‘The Illusory World’ at The Quorum Club in 2019, and India Design ID at K2 India in 2018.
In addition to photography, Aviva has gained experience across media, communication and production roles. She works as a freelance producer with PlusRymn and has previously served as a junior project manager at PROPAGANDA.
Her professional journey also includes roles as a marketing intern at Art Chain India and editor-in-chief of The Journal at I Parliament. Reports further note that she has completed internships with Verve magazine and Creative IMAGE magazine.
Aviva and Raihan are said to share a strong creative connection. Raihan Vadra himself is a visual artist and photographer, and in 2021, he held his first solo exhibition titled Dark Perception at Bikaner House in New Delhi. The exhibition marked his exploration of viewing the world through a fresh artistic lens.
With their shared interests and long-standing relationship, the engagement has sparked widespread interest, adding to the growing buzz around the upcoming celebrations in one of India’s most well-known political families.
