Will Not Join Politics, Rather Establish Political Academy – Naresh Patel

| Updated: June 16, 2022 14:13

Khodaldham president Naresh Patel put an end to speculation about his decision to enter Gujarat politics by holding a press conference today. “I will not join politics anymore,” he said at a press conference held in Rajkot.

Naresh Patel further expressed his gratitude to the people who helped Khodaldham reach the world and attract everyone from different walks of life. Talking about getting into politics, he said, “Like people in the Covid-19 period, I also had a lot of time. I read about Sardar Saheb and other freedom fighters, and I felt that joining politics can also help in serving people. This was my personal opinion. So, I decided to get the opinion of the people regarding this. We also did a survey!”

The result of the survey was surprising, to say the least. Patel explained, “Half of the elders of the society do not want me to join politics, whereas women and 80% of the youth still want me to join politics. I am happy to announce that we are planning to set up a political academy under the aegis of Khodaldham. Here, we will welcome the youth of the society.”

The Patidar industrialist further said that if he goes to any party then many projects of Khodaldham like education, health, and agriculture, which are not yet completed, will be affected. He said, “Focus should be on the progress of these projects so that people of every community get the benefit. That’s why the concern of elders seems appropriate to me. And so I am deferring my entry into politics for the time being.”

Significantly, for the last six months, there is a lot of discussion about Naresh Patel’s entry into politics. However, Naresh Patel always left the verdict on the survey results saying, “I will do what the society says”.

However, after several rounds of meetings of Naresh Patel with Congress leaders, Naresh Patel’s friend and strategist Prashant Kishor did not join the Congress. Hardik Patel joined the BJP. Considering all these developments, Naresh Patel was constantly postponing his decision. Although the current leadership of the Congress was ready to welcome him, it was only after Prashant Kishor’s affair with the Congress deteriorated that Vibes of India was the first to make it clear that Naresh Patel would not enter politics.

Congress had withheld Naresh Patel’s appointment. Gujarat in-charge Raghu Sharma had already made it clear that Naresh Patel has to decide whether he wants to enter politics or not and finally it has been decided.
