Mark Zuckerberg, the co-founder and CEO of the social-networking website Facebook announced the launch of Meta’s novel VR headset. The prices will nearly steal one’s own pocket- as they start in the range from USD 400 and could crossover USD 800!
While speaking to the American podcaster, Joe Rogan (officially Joseph James Rogan), he revealed his upcoming launch to be out into the markets in the month of October.
Zuckerberg said, “There’s more nonverbal communication when people are with each other than verbal communication.”
Further adding about the significance of the VR headsets, he asserted, “Headsets are going to give one of the abilities to have a kind of eye contact in virtual reality. If you smile or if you frown or if you pout, or whatever your expression is, have that translate in real-time to your avatar.”
The Oculus Quest 2 (now known as Meta Quest 2) has astonishingly become a successful virtual reality headset over the past two years.
The headset, called “Project Cambria,” is expected to be far more expensive and advanced than the AR/VR hybrid headset and could enable mixed reality combining video from the real world with the virtual environment having VR improved cameras.
Enhanced with the new sensor technology, it could enable introducing novel possibilities for interacting in a virtual environment, having an animated avatar of your own self.
