A forest and wildlife interpretation centre is being set up in Gandhinagar
at an expense of Rs 50 crore to offer tourists a a state-of-the-art 4D
experience of Gujarat’s forests and wildlife.

Being set up across a 1km stretch, the initiative by the Gujarat Forest
Department aims at educating visitors about the rich wildlife, flora and
fauna and different types of forests in the State. The project is expected
to be completed in three years.

It will have 3D and 4D tunnels, which will make the visitor feel the
different times of the day as well as seasons at different forests of
Gujarat, including Ratanmahal, Jambughoda, Jessore and Barda
sanctuaries.

There are as many as 30 interpretation centres in Gujarat at different
sanctuaries and wildlife parks. This will be the first centre at a prime
location opposite the famous Akshardham Temple.

This centre will provide the much-needed learning experience to kids
who might not have visited the jungles. They will get to learn about the
different flora and fauna, which in a way will make them understand the
importance of environment conservation.
