In all, 587 Commandos of the National Security Guard were granted diplomas in “Commando Conversion Course in Counter Terrorism” by Gandhinagar situated Rashtriya Raksha University. The diplomas were awarded by Ajay Mishra, Minister of the State, under RRU-NSG Educational MoU of 2021. The ceremony of the commandos was held at Manesar near Delhi on Sunday.
Talking about the partnership Ajay Mishra sought encouragement to all the NSA members to benefit from the courses that were offered by the RRU as he believed those courses would add to their overall knowledge capacity building which would match in line with the goals of Capacity- Building Commission of India, said RRU.
The minister endorsed and appreciated the initiative. He believed that this advanced partnership would help the country in reducing and curbing terrorism, and slowly eliminating it as well. He thinks that this was a great initiative made for the national security of the country.
The RRU-NSG collaboration is set to benefit 2,782 NSG personnel who would be participating in courses on bomb disposal, tacital driving, unarmed combat, etc.
