Pushpa Munjial, a 78-year-old woman from Dehradun, Uttarakhand, has transferred all of her assets –pegged at Rs 50 lakh – in Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s name, reasoning that him and his beliefs as “essential” to the country.
In a will filed at a Dehradun court, Munjial, a widow,
transferred the ownership of all of her assets to Gandhi, along with 10 tolas of gold. Munjial stated that she is greatly affected by Gandhi’s ideas, which is why she was entrusting her property to him.
Munjial willed her property to Gandhi at the residence of former state president Pritam Singh, according to Congress metropolitan president Lalchand Sharma.
