A massive fire broke out at Havells factory in Neemrana Industrial Area of Alwar district last night. Within a few minutes, the small fire became huge and uncontrollable. The fire department rushed to the spot and firemen battled the blaze for hours. Thick clouds of fire and smoke emanating from the factory engulfed the entire area and could be seen from a couple of kilometres away.
Local administrative authorities are also on the spot. Looking at the seriousness of the situation, fire departments from Kotputli, Bhiwadi, Khairthal and Bawal from Haryana were also brought in to help.
No casualties have been reported at the incident as of yet. However, sources say that the damage due to the fire could be worth crores. The reason for the fire is unknown.
