Bharatsinh Solanki Announces Comeback In Active Politics

| Updated: July 30, 2022 16:58

Bharatsinh Solanki, the veteran Congress leader who took a sabbatical from active politics in early June due to a dispute with his wife, made headlines again. Solanki announced that he would re-enter the political arena soon.

Bharatsinh Solanki announced his comeback on Saturday at Borsad on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Madhavsinh Solanki. In June, the former Union Minister stepped away from politics due to a controversial dispute with his wife. The fight story made headlines, and viral videos from the same broke the internet.

In his press conference during the dispute, Bharatsinh Solanki announced, “I am taking a break from politics. It can be two, three or six months.” Solanki served as Union Minister of State for Drinking Water and Sanitation of the Republic of India from 2012-14.

After the dispute, the Congress leader applied for armed security seeking protection from his wife. The former union minister and son of late Congress leader Madhavsinh Solanki claimed that his wife targeted him as she eyed his property. Meanwhile, Reshma Solanki, Bharatsinh Solanki’s second wife, claimed that he mentally tortured her, and she had to escape the US without any support.
