On the 74th Republic Day of India, Prime Minister Narendra Modi wore a multicoloured Rajasthani turban to honour the nation’s rich cultural diversity.
Before the Republic Day parade started, he came to the National War Memorial in Delhi. He was seen wearing the turban along with a white stole around his neck, a white kurta, a black coat, and white pants.
He laid a wreath as a floral tribute to the fallen warriors at the National War Memorial to start off the Republic Day ceremonies.
PM Modi and other dignitaries thereafter travelled to Rajpath’s saluting dais to view the Republic Day parade.
The Prime Minister wore a traditional Uttarakhand headgear last year that was adorned with a brooch that was modelled after the Brahmakamal. The PM uses Brahma Kamal, the state flower of Uttarakhand, whenever he travels to Kedarnath for puja.
