To commemorate 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, a National Youth Yatra will commence from his birth place Karamsad on November 26 and culminate at the Statue of Unity on December 6.
The Yatra will cover approximately 152 kilometer in 11 days.
Jagdish Vishwakarma, Gujarat BJP president, told media persons in Ahmedabad on Sunday that the yatra will progress about 15 km to 17 km each day, symbolising the spirit of unity, simplicity, and cleanliness.
The initiative aims to bring together youth from across the country in a collective journey of inspiration and national pride.
According to Vishwakarma, four youths from each district of every state from across the country will join the yatra. Every day, about 500 youngsters are expected to join the yatra.

Several Union Ministers, national party leaders, and Chief Ministers from various states have been invited to participate. The yatra will culminate with a grand concluding ceremony at the Statue of Unity, marking the end of the 11-day march.
Vishwakarma said another yatra is being organised in each of the 182 assembly segments in Gujarat. On Sunday, Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel took part in a yatra that began from Junagadh.
The State BJP president said that he would take part in a yatra to be organised in Nikol, Ahmedabad on November 16 and Patel would take part in the yatra in Ghatlodia constituency on November 17. Top BJP leaders and ministers will take part in the yatras. The yatras in the assembly constituencies will be of five km to ten km.
He said it is necessary for today’s generation to know the contribution of Sardar Patel.
When asked if the Congress was invited, Vishwakarma said the Congress (leaders) have not visited the Statue of Unity. The Statue of Unity is open for all, he said, adding that he invites all to take part in the yatra. Representatives from NGOs and people from different walks of life are to take part.
