I think dogs are the most amazing creatures; they give unconditional love. For me, they are the role model for being alive.
– Gilda Radner
In the frozen heights of Bharmour, a dog refused to leave its owner’s side. Four days. Snow falling. Bitter cold. Humans could barely step outside. Yet the pit bull stayed.
Two young relatives, Bikshit Rana and Piyush, had gone missing near the Bharmani temple while filming videos. They were trapped in snow. They did not survive.
When rescue teams and villagers arrived, they found a heartbreaking sight. Piyush’s body lay buried under layers of snow. Right beside him, his dog sat silently.
For four days, it did not eat. It did not move. It braved the freezing winds. It guarded its owner from the harsh weather. From wild animals.
When rescuers tried to take the body, the dog growled and resisted. It seemed to believe they were a threat. Only after patient coaxing did it move aside.
The story has left many in tears. It is a stark reminder of loyalty that knows no bounds. Love that lasts even beyond death.
Who epitomises this quality better than a dog whose love is constant and steadfast. And so intense that sometimes it endures even beyond the life of its human companion.
