Jas Elanjikal, Principal of St. Michael’s Senior Secondary School, Pusa Road, believes AI is becoming increasingly useful because it can quickly solve problems and provide logical answers. However, he says there is a much bigger question that students must ask:

According to him, a student’s life is shaped by much more than logic alone. Important life decisions involve qualities such as:

Human Qualities Still Matter Most
Experts agree that Artificial Intelligence will continue to reshape education in the years ahead. It can help students learn faster, improve productivity, and make information easier to access.
But qualities such as judgment, empathy, ethics, creativity, responsibility, and critical thinking remain uniquely human strengths. No matter how advanced AI becomes, educators believe these are the skills that technology cannot fully replicate.
As classrooms continue to embrace AI, the focus is shifting from simply finding the right answers to teaching students how to ask the right questions, evaluate information carefully, and think independently—skills that will remain valuable throughout their lives.
