Famous singer and AAP leader from north Gujarat, Vijay Suvala formally joined the Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) in an oath-taking ceremony at the party headquarters in Gandhinagar, January 17.

C.R. Patil inducted Suvala by handing over the party’s saffron scarf. Suvala formally joined BJP in presence of saints, monks and their supporters. BJP leaders Bhargav Bhatt, Rajni Patel, Pradipsinh Vaghela, Yamal Vyas were also present at the program.

A native of Suvala village in Mehsana, he said the Prime Minister’s charisma is responsible for his choice. “I am deeply influenced by the ideology of Shri Narendrabhai Modi. The BJP is the largest organized party in the world and I want to pledge my eternal allegiance,” said Suvala, adding that his service to the people will get a boost with this decision.

“I will serve the people with all my heart and soul, with full devotion and on the path of truth,” added Suvala.

Mr Patil added that he knew Suvala from before. “I met Vijaybhai even before he joined AAP. However, he felt that his supporters were losing faith in him and he offered to join the BJP instead,” he shared.
